a cup of origin

I was very excited to try the new cafe Origin in Dallas’ Knox/Henderson area. I was not sure what to expect as I heard it offered Paleo food and wasn’t sure how that would work with specialty coffee. They made it happen. Its a great combination of speed and convenience and wonderful atmosphere. Origin uses Oakcliff coffee and the bar in the center of the room allows for great customer barista interaction. They offer delicious espresso from the La Marzoco strada as well as multiple brew methods for pour over coffee. The space has high ceilings and cool colors but still feels intimate and cozy. Sliding door refrigerators on the wall allow you to pick out food and microwave there or take it home. My friend Amy, who I met through TNT, is working the bar and doing a great job. Its an exciting thing to see our community of baristas and cafes grow. I can’t wait to return.
